What should I do if I'm facing issues with phone number login or linking?

If you're having trouble verifying your phone number or your operator doesn’t appear in the list, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Login from outside the MENA region or different country: Unfortunately, logging in with a phone number from outside the MENA region or from a different country is not supported. You will not receive a verification code in this case. Instead, you will need to log in via your linked email or Facebook account.

  2. Adding an international phone number is not possible: Only phone numbers from the MENA region can be linked to an Anghami account. If you are trying to add an international phone number, this is not supported.

  3. Troubleshooting SMS issues: If you are in the MENA region and still unable to receive the verification code, try again and make sure that you can receive SMS from your operator. In some cases, we may need to investigate further if the issue persists.

  4. Anghami Plus requirement for certain operators: For users with certain operators like Orange Tunisia, you must be subscribed to Anghami Plus to receive the One-Time Password (OTP) when logging in with your phone number. If you’re not a Plus subscriber, we recommend logging in using your email or Facebook account.

  5. Using one phone number and email for your account: We always recommend that each account has a valid email address and a personal phone number. We don’t recommend using another phone number for your account or logging in from other phones, as this can lead to complications.
