Updating the phone number on your account is quite easy if this number has no active subscription via the operator. If there is an active subscription, you need to cancel the subscription totally and wait till the subscription ends and then you will be able to update it from the App Settings > Your Phone number > Change.
If there is no active subscription, tap on the Settings > Phone number > Change and enter the new phone number and wait for the verification code normally to complete the verification process.
